I don’t know about you, but I’m almost at the point of Christmas saturation. Am I a grinch?! I’m a bit wined out, full of cookies, and my body is yelling “stooopppp!” Christmas parties, food, and late nights. Phew! I’ve seen plenty of gift-guides filled with mittens, hunter boots, and sparkly dresses, but this one’s the opposite! We’re spending the holidays on a white sandy beach, with no Christmas trees in sight, other than the beautiful palms. If you’re soaking up the snow covered mountains and cozy fireplaces for the holidays, I’m sure this list will come in handy when you start thinking about your next winter getaway. I’m especially looking at you, east coast friends! January is chillllly.
I haven’t updated my sunglass collection in a few years, so these glasses have been calling my name. They’re simple and classic.
I’m always wearing thick headbands at the beach. I love these for keeping the hair out of my face all day long, and masking the tangled ocean hair mess that I’m usually rocking.
I scooped up this bikini top and bottom during the J.Crew Cyber week sale. Always need a few new bikinis in the vacation bag.. (I love J.Crew’s bathing suits, but not a fan of the quality of J.Crew Factory’s suits, FYI!)
How cute is this beach bag?! I usually use mine as a carry-on bag for beach vacations to save space in my suitcase.
I’ve had my eye on this Mara Hoffman dress since the summer. I think it’ll be my one big pre-vacay splurge. Has my name written all over it. 🙂
I’m planning on only packing dresses and rompers/jumpsuits. This year I am *very* into jumpsuits. This one is perfect for the beach and casual dinners in town with cute sandals.
Speaking of sandals, I haven’t worn any flip flop besides these Rainbow’s since buying them a few years ago, and I’m due for a new pair. They go with everything.
I love adding fun tags to my (not so cute) luggage. Loving Rebecca Minkoff lately, too. This would also be a great stocking stuffer for the travel lover in your life.
This Kate Spade Taco Truck bag is TOO perfect for Mexico. I’ve been eyeing it for months. So fun.
I don’t usually wear any makeup to the beach. This tinted moisturized does the job perfectly, while evening out your skin tone, and protecting your face with 30 SPF.
Protecting your skin is in. I always get spray tans before a beach trip so that I’m not temped to layout in the sun. I stock up on Beach Bum sunscreen whenever I’m in San Diego (their headquarters are in Encinitas).
Speaking of sun protection, I always bring a sun shirt with UV protection the the beach. They’re great for beach walks, to use when relaxing in the ocean, or for activities like snorkeling/paddle boarding.
Great ideas. I feel like packing NOW
