I think this might be the fifth time I’ve mentioned on the blog how much I freaking love San Diego. The weather, the cute little towns, the beautiful beaches and healthy atmosphere. I could move there in a second! I spent the weekend at the beach in Encinitas, and it was dreamy as always. I have guides and posts on San Diego here and here. We go a lot! Usually whenever we have a long weekend, its the perfect little getaway.
On Friday we went straight from the airport to dinner at one of my favorites in Del Mar – Jake’s. I love this stunning seaside restaurant. We followed up dinner with cocktails at Le Papagayo while listening to the live band. This is such a fun restaurant at all times of the day – weekend bottomless brunch or late night cocktails. We finished out the night with chips and guacamole (with a side of regret, haha).
We were up bright and early to check out Pilates Republic, the most beautiful pilates reformer studio! I couldn’t believe I dragged K there, and we went back the next two mornings, too! My abs still heart. We went to Oh! Juice Bar after.
We spent almost the whole afternoon having quite the leisurely lunch at The Lodge at Torrey Pines Resort. We sipped champagne and indulged in many, many courses. It was so nice chatting away with nowhere to be for the rest of the day. The views weren’t too bad, either…
The late afternoon was spent in La Jolla on Bird Scooters! It was so fun riding around the town and stopping at our go-to little shop, Hi Sweetheart, and of course a cocktail at Duke’s! Duke’s makes me feel like I’m in Maui..
I don’t know how we kept eating our way through the day, but we rallied and went to dinner at the gorgeous Pacific Coast Grill, another must-stop every time we’re down south.
The next morning, we went to the Omni La Costa Spa in Carlsbad. Dreamy.
Then to the new beer garden in Encinitas, Modern Times Beer. They have a 17% brew on tap! Needless to say, we left the boys to order that one.
We ended the day with dinner at the Four Seasons in Carlsbad. So pretty!
Of course I had to pop into Better Buzz for an acai bowl before I left. They make a yummy one.
I would like to move to San Diego ☀️
