I’ve been at home in San Francisco much more frequently than usual the last few months, which has been leaving so many free weekends! I mean, is there a better feeling than waking up on a Saturday with nothing to do?! I know that will soon change with the spring, then summer fast approaching. This girl looooves to travel in the summertime. We’ve been taking advantage of the extra time by trying new restaurants and day time activities in the city for our dates. Catching up with our couple friends and planning things together has been so nice, too! A few of my favorite date activities in San Francisco…

Explore Japantown starting with a stroll through the funky Kintettsu Mall, grab cocktails at the newly renovated Hotel Kabuki (they have the coolest drink list!), then dinner at any of the sushi bars surrounding the square. Finish the night at Kabuki Theater, where you can order snacks and cocktails for your movie. I mean, I’m definitely a fan of wine at the movie theater. 😉
Play Mini Golf at Urban Putt, even better with a few other couple friends! Order snacks and Moscow Mules and spend the next hour in a friendly competition with your date.
Spend a rainy night grocery shopping and cooking a full meal together! Since it’s been rainy for what seems like forever in San Francisco, this has been our go-to night in. Stroll through a farmers market and pick out your ingredients together. My favorite farmers markets are Clement Street (Sundays), Fort Mason (Sundays), and Ferry Building (Saturdays). If your cooking date doesn’t fall on the weekend, check out Bi-Rite for fresh ingredients, and don’t leave without getting a a scoop of ice cream. The organic honey lavender is my favorite.
Walk through the city, making stops for cocktails and coffee along the way..workout clothes are the norm around bars and coffee shops in SF! I love to get my steps in while exploring the city. Even as locals, there is always new things to see…
See a sports game. You can probably tell I’m not a big sports fan :). BUT, I do love heading downtown for a few beers at 21st Amendment and seeing a Giants Game with my guy. It’s fun to get bundled up and spend the night next to each other at the beautiful AT&T Park stadium.
Wine Bar hop on Chestnut & Union Street in the Marina. If you can’t make it to Wine Country, why not make your own little wine crawl? The Marina has a bunch of great wine bars. We love Howells, Cultivar, West Coast Wine & Cheese, and California Wine Merchant.
Try a workout class and grab smoothies or acai bowls as a post sweat treat. Basecamp Fitness is a great options since their classes are always filled with men and women of all ages. For healthy snacks, I love Equinox’s Earthbar on Union Street, Judahlicious in the Sunset, Project Juice on Chestnut, or Basik on Polk Street.
Volunteer for a few hours. One of my girlfriends had this idea a few months ago, and I thought it was a great one. Nothing brings people closer together than helping others. Glide Memorial has three meal shifts daily that accepts volunteers.
Have a park day followed by cocktails in the Mission. Dolores park is the perfect spot to enjoy some wine and cheese on a late afternoon. Follow up your park date at nearby El Techo for rooftop Margarita’s.
