So many fun events happening around the city in the next few months! We always try to go to a few events in wine country during the summer — anything to escape the summer fog in the city and drink wine in the sunshine. Here are a few events I’m looking forward to attending in the coming weeks..
North Beach Citizens’ 4th Annual “Hidden Gems” Wine Tasting and Jazz Fundraiser: (May 17th) This event mixes two great things, wine and a great cause. This event is special to me since it directly benefits the community and neighborhood I work in and live next to. The North Beach Citizen’s event will feature small batch hand-crafted wines from Northern California “hidden gem” wineries (we all know I love my hidden gems)! The fundraiser will also offer oven-baked local pizza, and jazz music. Attendees will be able to chat with the winemakers themselves and learn about their special wines. The event will benefit North Beach Citizens, a local nonprofit that supports San Francisco’s homeless and low-income citizens find and stay in housing, and rebuild their lives.
Tiburon Wine Festival: (May 18th) I’ve had my eye on this event for a few years now, and I’m finally in town to attend! This event features so many great wines from well-known wineries, like Frank Family Vineyards, Silver Oak Cellars, Mumm Napa, and many more! Honestly, I’m just excited to be be out boating (ahem, taking the ferry) across the bay and sipping on wine in the sunshine.
Sterling Vineyards Rosé Festival: (June 8th) I went to this festival two years ago, which was their first year hosting. We lucked out getting a “deal” on the VIP tickets since it was the first year. The festival has since raised their prices, but the general admission tickets are definitely still well worth it! The event takes place on the stunning Sterling Vineyards property, which offers a gondola ride through the vineyard, sprawling views, and gorgeous hilltop tasting room. The food and drinks will be memorable — I can’t wait to attend again! #roséallday
Walt Wine Bob’s Release Party: (July 20th) You guys know how much I love Walt Wine. They make my favorite Pinots and Chardonnay. Walt has a popular tasting room in Sonoma, and I’m so excited that they’re opening another one in Healdsburg. The release party will feature Walts flagship wines in their new tasting room. Guests will enjoy lunch and generous wine pours in the beautiful vineyard. Last year’s release party was a blast, I’m excited to attend this year and enjoy my favorite wines with delicious food!
