Memorial Day Weekend Packing List

Lifestyle· Travel

16 May

Can you believe Memorial Day Weekend is next week?! The first half of 2019 flew by. I spent it mainly staying home and staying focused. For me, the summer usually means extra fun time and travel — I’m excited that time of year is fast approaching! I’m heading to the east coast later next week to spend the holiday weekend with my family and close friends. So excited for special time with them! I’m sure you’ve seen the weather lately, but its been less than ideal for my east coasters, it SNOWED last week, and the mountains near my hometown got 10 inches. Just unbelievable for May. Although its luckily warming up next week into the high 60’s – I’m sticking to cozy, yet summery things to pack. Mainly cute white/blue tees, a few bathing suits incase it warms up enough to be by the lake, and, of course, my trusty white pants. Let’s be real, I’ve been wearing my white pants since February — definitely not a follower of the white pant after Memorial Day rule. Love those things.

J. Crew Studio Striped Tee: I’m obsessed with the studio tee. Its my perfect white/black t-shirt that I reach for multiple times a week. I loved the striped version for Memorial Day with button fly jeans.

Summer Sandal: The perfect height for all-day events or a dressy night out. I have these from last season in nude, and just ordered the white!

All Natural Deodorant: This is a must-pack. I recently made the switch to all-natural deodorant and keep one in my purse at all times while my body gets used to the new product. So far, I love this one and will do a full post on the switch soon!

Vintage Scalloped Trim Bikini: Just bought this bathing suit after Liz from Hello Adams Family blog posted a try-on in her stories. I’m usually against the high-rise bathing suite craze, but this looked so flattering and fun I immediately bought it. I can confirm its adorable and UNDER $25 for the whole set! I might buy it in every color..

J. Crew Jumpsuit: I bought this in March when it first came out, and have since bought it in orange, too! Its the prettiest classic jumpsuit that can be dressed up with a blazer and heels, or dressed down for dinner at the lake with a jean jacket and sandals. A great summer staple.

Madewell High-Rise Skinny Cropped Jeans: I live in these & have been re-wearing them since last season and all through winter, as seen here.

Button Fly Jeans: I live in these on the weekends! They are almost as comfy as my Lululemon leggings, and thats saying a lot. They’re my go-to travel pant, and I’ll definitely wear them at my destination, too.

Rebecca Minkoff Stella Tote: I’ve had this bag since the fall and use it every single day for going to/from the office. It’s perfect for travel — especially for quick trips where I’m bringing my carry-on roller with me, and only need a simple versatile purse that I can use as a carry-on and during the trip. It fits my water bottle, laptop, snacks and scarf.

White Oxfords: I bought these adorable oxfords originally for work, and they just arrived in the mail today. I realized that they’re going to be so versatile for summer. Perfect for the plane or a day on vacation where I’ll need comfy shoes.

J. Crew Graphic T-shirt: So fun! I like stocking up on a few casual J. Crew T’s every season. I end up wearing them almost every weekend. Just ordered this one, and I think it’ll be the perfect plane t-shirt to wear under a light sweater.
